Gas safe register replaces Corgi

Posted 20th July, 2009
Gas safe register replaces Corgi as the official registration body for legally registered / qualified gas installers from 1st April 2009. Anyone carrying out work on gas must be registered with the Gas Safe Register. If they are not they are breaking the law and putting you at risk. All registered engineers will carry an identity card with the yellow Gas Safe triangle on. Incorrectly fitted, badly repaired or poorly maintained gas appliances are a major cause of lethal carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, and can also lead to gas leaks and explosions.
