Summer is here at last, and the warmer weather and summer showers create the perfect conditions for plants to grow quickly. Remember to cut back any foliage from around your oil tank and boiler flues.

Ivy and other shrubs can also find their way into flue ways. Blocked flues restrict air flow that can result in carbon monoxide poisoning. A quick visual inspection of external air vents is also good practice as plants and cobwebs can restrict air flow through air vents, which could lead to combustion issues with conventional open-flued boilers, or other fuel burning appliances within the property.
